Collection and Use of Information
Other than information that you affirmatively provide us directly or through third party services providers (such as third parties we use for advertising or promotion) and your IP address, we do not actively collect any information through the Site that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address (“personal information”). We collect the personal information that you give us through the Site, such as when you use the “Contact” feature, sign up to receive newsletters, updates, coupons, announcements or invitations, or register for sweepstakes, incentives, or other events, or when you contact us by e-mail. Similarly, we collect personal information that you may direct or authorize to be sent to us, such as when you submit or “click” a lead form or perform a similar function directed to us on a third party site, such as Facebook or other site on which we advertise or post information about our services. Providing us with this information is voluntary and not required in order to visit or use the Site.
We use this information to respond to your comments or questions or as related to the purpose for which you submitted the information, to sponsor or conduct sweepstakes, to educate regarding ocean conservation, or to contact you about other publications, events, or services provided by us or other third parties, and other educational, promotional, and commercial activities as needed. In addition, we may use or disclose the information to administer sweepstakes or promotions, deliver targeted advertisement and/or coupons, fulfill and manage online purchase, process payments and refunds, increase the efficiency and operation of the Site, request feedback and troubleshoot issues, and other commercial purposes consistent with the law.
This Site is intended for use by businesses and individuals. The Site is not designed for children and it not our intent to collect any information from children. If you are not an adult, please do not use the Site.
Cookies, Log Files and Derivative Information
A ”log file” is an automatic record of events that occur on the Side is maintained on the Site or by our service provider. We use log files to record the URL visited, the title of the page visited, the resolution of the user’s monitor and size of the browser window, the referring address, if any, the time it took to fetch and render the page, a unique session identifier, allowing us to view a series of page views as a coherent visit, and other non-personal information regarding your visit to the Site.
In addition to the information specifically addressed above, our systems also automatically collects other derivative information when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and pages you visited before and after accessing the Site.
If you give us your e-mail address, we may send marketing and promotional e-mails, newsletters, updates, advisories, alerts or blogs, and other Rock The Ocean publications and announcements to you from time to time. Any automated e-mails will include directions on how to unsubscribe from such automated e-mails should you no longer wish to receive them.

Ways in which we may disclose information include: to comply with law or protect the safety of our users or others; or with service providers performing services on our behalf; other third party advertisers for the purpose of conducting general business analysis; and third party advertisers for marketing purposes if permitted by applicable law. Any service providers employed by us will have access to your personal information solely to the extent necessary to enable them to perform services on our behalf.
Please note that the Site does not support “Do Not Track” browser settings and does not currently participate in any “Do Not Track” frameworks that would allow us to respond to signals or other mechanisms from you regarding the collection of your personal or non-personally identifiable information.
Our Site employs industry standard information security measures designed to protect against loss, misuse, or alteration of information you provide us through the Site. We take steps to protect against, but are not responsible for, unauthorized access to information by hackers or other third parties who obtain access through illegal means.
Users are strictly prohibited from accessing or using the Site for any illegal purposes.

Rock The Ocean Foundation is not liable for any damages, including in contract, warranty, tort, product liability, or any other theory of liability, relating to your use of or inability to use the Site.
