Rock The Ocean is sponsoring a sea turtle hatchling event with Nova Southeastern University’s Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation Program.

Come join NSU Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation Program Sea Turtle Specialists for a hatchling release! This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience! Learn about sea turtle conservation in South Florida and see how sea turtles start their life.
**No artificial lights, cameras, or video equipment are permitted at the release site.**

50 guests will begin the evening at the beautiful NSU Oceanographic Center in Dania Beach, with a presentation given by one of their sea turtle specialists, providing guests with a thorough overview of sea turtle biology and the conservation program. Immediately following the presentation, guests will meet on the beach in Hollywood to witness a sea turtle hatchling release.

** The presentation will take place inside the Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center, in the 3rd floor auditorium. Our campus is located at the far north end of Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (notify gate attendant you are attending an event at NSU) on the west side of the road between the Coast Guard and Navy. All guests must attend the presentation prior to the release.

All proceeds from tickets purchased for hatchling releases go directly toward furthering sea turtle conservation efforts at NSU. Because of this, all proceeds are treated as donations to the sea turtle program, and therefore no refunds will be given for any reason. Pre-registration and pre-payment are both required, and no walk-ins are accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: **Once capacity is reached, reservations will no longer be available for that date. Resale of reservations is not permitted. NO TICKETS WILL BE SENT OUT. **Names will be checked at the door.**

DISCLAIMER: Broward County Sea Turtle Program staff is predominately field based, meaning that they are not in the office very much during peak season due to high volumes of sea turtle activity – EMAIL COMMUNICATION PREFERED! *There is no guarantee that hatchlings will be observed on any given night. The hatchling releases
run by Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation Program are subject to change or cancelled if weather conditions are not favorable. The release will still occur in rain, but if lightning is present at the release site, the release portion will be cancelled. We will do our best to accommodate and reschedule due to a cancellation, but there are no guarantees.*
