Fort Lauderdale Beach Cleanup – June 28, 2025

Saturday, June 28, 2025 The Local Octopus Foundation will be hosting a beach cleanup right on Fort Lauderdale Beach to close out World Oceans Month.
This event is proudly sponsored by Beach.com and Waste Management
Meet at the permanent restrooms on the beach, South of the public basketball courts at between 8:00 am and 8:30 am to get checked in and grab your cleanup supplies!
What to Wear:
- Lightweight, breathable clothing
- Closed-toe shoes or sturdy sandals
- Hat or cap for sun protection
- Sunglasses + reef-safe sunscreen
What to Bring:
- Reusable water bottle (water stations provided)
- Gardening gloves (optional, but helpful)
- Positive vibes and readiness to help the environment!
Provided on Site:
- Shaded tents for rest
- Water & ice
- Cleanup tools & planting materials (if applicable)
- Giveaways, raffle prizes & possible educational vendors
Additional Info:
- Volunteers of all ages are welcome; however, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
- Community service hours can be certified for students upon request.
- In case of inclement weather, updates will be provided via email.
- We aim to provide the first 50 participants with a free event t-shirt, with sizes allocated based on the registration information you provide below.
