SUMMARY:Monofilament Recycling Event
DESCRIPTION:Come out December 14\, 2024 for Rock The Ocean and Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center’s 2nd monofilament recycling event of the year! \nWe are looking for volunteers to assist in cleaning and processing collected monofilament fishing line to be recycled as a part of FWC’s Monofilament Recovery Program. You’ll get the opportunity to meet like-minded people and keep fishing line out of the environment. \nCLICK HERE or the link below to register for the event! \nPlease email outreach@keepthemflying.org with any questions! \n\nFun Fact: for our newcomers(or even returning volunteers)\, monofilament fishing line\, also known as “mono”\, is a single strand of plastic material that’s extruded into a thin tube. It’s the most common type of fishing line.
