Let’s reduce waste and refuse single-use disposable plastic water bottles.\nDownload the Ocean Conservancy’s CleanSwell app to participate in the Citizen Science activity to log\, tally and measure the impact of your cleanup.\nDress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. This is a rocky shoreline site\, and you should wear closed-toed shoes\, no flipflops or sandals are permitted.\nSunglasses\, hat\, sunscreen and insect repellant are recommended.\nIf you have your own reusable working or gardening type gloves\, bring them. We will be providing gloves but cannot guarantee they will be in your size.\nSome volunteers like to use a bucket during a cleanup. Releases take place every night\, except for Wednesdays and Fridays and will go through the end of August. \nThis is truly a one-of-a-kind experience! Learn about sea turtle conservation in South Florida and see how sea turtles start their life. Each nightly event will start with a presentation at NSU’s Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center\, then to the beach to witness sea turtle hatchlings be released to start their journey.\n**No artificial lights\, cameras\, or video equipment are permitted at the release site.** \n⁠COST: $10/person\nTickets can be purchased via each night’s Facebook Event Page (@browardcturtles).  CLICK HERE FOR ALL EVENTS this summer. \nAll proceeds from tickets purchased for hatchling releases go directly toward furthering sea turtle conservation efforts at NSU. Because of this\, all proceeds are treated as donations to the sea turtle program\, and therefore no refunds will be given for any reason.
